Belarusian-Singing Band Will Represent Belarus At Eurovision 2020

VAL won the Belarusian national final and will fly with “Da vidna” to Rotterdam!

 

This year Belarusfilm Pavillion in Minsk gathered 12 artists to battle for the golden ticket on the Eurovision Song Contest. The winner was determined by an equal combination of jury and televoting. The jury panel was composed of our past Eurovision participants Dmitry Koldun, Zena and Yuri Seleznev, and foreign guests: Israeli producer Tali Eshkoli, Heads of Delegation Joana Levieva-Sawyer of Bulgaria and Stig Karlsen of Norway.

VAL came on top in the final results of the Belarusian national final with 20 points (10 jury points and 10 televoting ones) out of 24 possible.

The VAL consists of singer Valeria Gribusova and sound producer Vladislav Pashkevich. They wrote their competitive song themselves.

 

The 65th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Belarus will perform in the first semi-final on 12 May. The second semi-final will take place on 14 May and the final show on 16 May.
